Is this a good Elite to use in RA to help shut down physical attackers such as Thumpers? Or would it fail miserable because I have never ever seen any build anywhere with this Elite, I only ever knew it existed by it being casted on me during a vanquish.
Edit:
Could it be used with like a Zealous Dagger and Critical eye and some very powerful high energy cost(or low) assassin skills? With the +33% chance it should be more than easy to manage energy.

It's a nice skill. Pretty much shuts down anyone who relies on doing lots of damage in little chunks (such as [[Barrage]rs) and definitely cripples anyone who does big damage (big difference between a Warrior doing 70-100 per hit and one doing 30-60 per hit). And the bonus to critical hits makes things rather fun, too, especially for Assassins who use non-Dagger weapons and [[Way of the Master] (and the standard [[Critical Eye], of course).

its kinda crappy at best. You can use non elites to completely shutdown melee chars.
Try blind :P

used to be really nice b4 the impaler build ners (nerf to hoto ). However it can still be used
[skill]Siphon Strength[/skill] -> [skill]Iron Palm[/skill] -> [skill]Falling Spider[/skill] ->[skill]Vampiric Assault[/skill] -> [skill]Impale[/skill] -> [skill]Signet of Toxic Shock[/skill]
in ra most anything is good but it can relieve reasonable amounts of pressure from your back line
so no its not bullshit good try though boogz theres always next time to win on trolling
but like shadows said there are better options.

...which usually lasts an extremely short time, is a lot cheaper and easier to remove than a hex (even for a Warrior), and doesn't give you a +33% chance to critically hit.

[[Blinding Surge]? Maybe if you're an Elementalist. And have Nightfall. And don't mind it being only 3-8 seconds of blindness. And don't mind taking full damage when they get in a lucky hit or remove the blindness (hex removal's a bit harder, from what I can tell, for monsters that rely on attacks rather than skills). And don't mind not being able to do more critical hits (otherwise known as Assassin Energy Management).

What's wrong with a ten second recharge?
With a 5 in Deadly Arts you get 10 second duration, and 20% damage reduction.
That's pretty damn good in my book.
I've used a Siphon build in AB on occasion, its always great to see the overextending dervishes and warrios have a wtf moment when they can't kill my skinny sin. You can almost see the look of confusion on their faces lol.
It combines very well with a fast recharging 3 skill attack chain, along with Shadow Walk and Dash. Which leaves you two skills to play around with, Expose Defenses (you'll have a significant investment into DA anyways, unless you use unblockable attack skills) and maybe Siphon Speed come to mind, to round out the Siphon motif. Siphon Speed combines well with Shadow Walk, since the speed boost doesn't cancel the stance.
Here's what I might use then:
[skill]Siphon Strength[/skill][skill]Siphon Speed[/skill][skill]Black Mantis Thrust[/skill][skill]Wild Strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Expose Defenses[/skill][skill]Shadow Walk[/skill][skill]Dash[/skill]
If you aren't worried about stance blocks and can rely on ED completely, then you could use [skill]Golden Fang Strike[/skill] instead of [skill]Wild Strike[/skill] for the Deep Wound, but you'd need to pick up an enchant either on your own skill bar or have someone else cast it on you.

Ah my bad Tyla, I see.
I like B-Surge on my ele, never really used it as a /ele.
However, I must say that the confusion that ensues when physical damage classes start running around in circles because they're hitting for 0 0 0 0 0 0 is just hilarious.
And in most AB, monks that play concentrate on condition removal due to sinspikes, or de-hex shadow prison, I rarely have Siphons removed.

once again its not bad its actually fairly fun to play around with in ra
although bsurge is better in almost every respect we do generally talk about sins in the sins section and sins haven't used bsurge since its nerf from 5-10e its pointless to compare them here(god i miss those days that was the best build ever for those who remember )
